Online pros outpace cons

Font size: A - | A +

The Advantages

The benefits primarily have to do with ease. Users do not need to leave the office or home and they can shop whenever they want, 24 hours a day. Often, the range of products are greater online than in a traditional brick-and-mortar shop. Lower overhead means online shops can go down with prices as well. Additionally, price comparison is simple via Internet with powerful search engines. In a traditional retail outlet, a customer would spend hours going from shop to shop to discover the lowest price. A successful online store can also offer buyers relevant, expert information that a bored shop assistant in a local store cannot.

The Disadvantages

Users are denied the physical sensation of touching the goods. They must judge the product based on a photograph and description, both of which can be misleading. Long delivery times are the main disadvantage of shopping with a Slovak-based online retailer. Effective logistics systems are not yet in place.
