The Trnava-based plant intends to launch a third working shift a year from now and gradually increase annual production to a maximum capacity of 300,000 vehicles. The new model will be the third to be manufactured in Trnava.

“It shows that car manufacturing within the PSA Peugeot Citroen Group and its personnel have reached full maturity,” Varin said, as quoted by TASR. “On the other hand, it's also a confirmation of the strategic character of our investment in Slovakia, with the planned gradual increase in effectiveness of the already existing capacities.”

Varin and Jurzyca signed a Memorandum on Cooperation in the area of secondary education between the Education Ministry and PSA Peugeot Citroen after negotiations were completed between the French Ambassador in Slovakia, Jean-Marie Bruno, and the Slovak Ambassador to France, Marek Eštók.
