THE DOWNWARD trend in prices for residential real estate continued during the third quarter of this year. According to the National Bank of Slovakia (NBS), the average price per square metre of residential real estate reached €1,322 in the third quarter, down 1.5 percent from the previous quarter and 14.3 percent year-on-year, the SITA newswire reported.

THE DOWNWARD trend in prices for residential real estate continued during the third quarter of this year. According to the National Bank of Slovakia (NBS), the average price per square metre of residential real estate reached €1,322 in the third quarter, down 1.5 percent from the previous quarter and 14.3 percent year-on-year, the SITA newswire reported.
In the first quarter of this year real estate prices decreased 4.3 percent year-on-year; in the second quarter they fell by 13.4 percent year-on-year. In 2008, prices for houses and apartments grew by 22.1 percent year-on-year, SITA wrote.
