only authority with the power to check whether hotels meet

the conditions for the number of stars they assign themelves.

There are nine categories for hotels. While a hotel, i.e. an

accommodation facility with a capacity of more than 10 rooms,

can in general bear from one to five stars, other hotel-like

facilities differ in the number of stars they can bear.

A garni hotel is a facility limiting its boarding services to

in the mountains or one without a direct link to the road

infrastructure. A congress hotel (bearing three to five stars) is a

facility designed to hold congresses and similar large events.

Wellness hotels (bearing three to five stars) must focus on

wellness and wellbeing services while spa hotels (also three to

five stars) must have a physician available on-site. Boutique

hotels (bearing four or five stars) usually have fewer rooms and

are located in historic or designer buildings. An apartment hotel

(with one to three stars) provides accommodation in an

apartment and motels (rated from one to four stars) must be

located near main roads or highways.
