POWER engineering company Slovenské Energetické Strojárne (SES) Tlmače has won a contract to supply equipment for Puerto Coronel, a 370 MW power plant block in Chile. SES Tlmače will take part in the turnkey contract in a consortium with the Italian company Mairengineering Torino. SES's share of the order comes to around Sk3.2 billion (€95 million). The contract will run over three years, the SITA newswire wrote.
The investor and client is the Chilean company Colbun, the second biggest power plant company in Chile. SES Tlmače's marketing director, Viliam Petráš, said that the original offer includes an option for a second block of the same type. The client can use the option until the end of 2007.
