The Swedish company AssiDomän, majority shareholder in JCP Inc., a pulp and paper producer located in Štúrovo, approved changes in JCP's Board of Directors and appointed a new general director at the shareholders meeting last week, AssiDomän representatives said. JCP's new general director, Marián Slovák, who replaced Juraj Kučera, gave some indication that further changes are planned. "JCP is quite inflexible with its current number of 2,600 employees," Slovák said. AssiDomän plans to increase JCP's production, but future investments will be decided this August.
