SLOVAK firms and households paid more than Sk2.5 billion (€62 million) on internet access last year, the Slovak daily Pravda wrote.
The biggest player on the market, Slovak Telecom, earned nearly Sk1.9 billion (€47 million) of that total, while Slovanet earned Sk233 million (€6 million). The third biggest firm, Nextra, earned Sk197 million (€5 million).
This year the providers expect use to grow, especially in the area of high-speed internet connections.
