THE NEW Slovak cabinet will respect the decision of the Anti-monopoly Bureau (PMÚ) regarding the sale of the Bratislava and Košice airports despite the fact that Prime Minister Robert Fico has described this privatisation as a political and economic mistake by the previous government of Mikuláš Dzurinda.
"If it (the bureau) confirms that the privatisation was carried out correctly, that there is not too much concentration of power and that all the conditions of the privatisation were fulfilled properly, then we'll have to respect this decision. But if the bureau, as an independent institution, decides differently, all interested parties will have an opportunity to take steps to rectify the situation," said Fico during his official visit to the Czech Republic on July 15, the TASR news agency reported.
