THE SLOVAK non-profit organisation Via Iuris has won a special prize in the 2014 edition of the Czech-Slovak competition for the best publicly beneficial campaign. In total, 68 non-profit organisations enrolled 112 campaigns into the eighth edition of the Žihadlo (Sting) competition. Of them, three Slovak NGOs enrolled eight campaigns, Karolina Fialová, project manager at Neziskovky.cz, told The Slovak Spectator. The award ceremony took place in Prague on November 20.
The jury chose winning campaigns in four categories, while it also granted a special Award this year to the Via Iuris NGO.
“We decided to honour the Slovak non-profit organisation Via Iuris for the campaign ‘For the good election of the Supreme Court chair’, which it created in cooperation with the SCR agency,” Václav Sochor, consultant for the PR company Bison & Rose said, as cited in the press release.
The prizes went to the Czech civic association Gender Studies in the print advertisement category, the Foundation Vodafone Česká Republika in the category of TV and cinema spot, the Czech Amnesty International in the internet campaign category and the foundation of the Czech Radio Nadační Fond Českého Rozhlasu in the category of radio spots.
Sochor praised the increasing number of enrolled campaigns as they evaluated twice the number of works compared with the previous year.
