TWO YEARS after their last payment of dividends, Slovakia's biggest fixed-line telecommunications company, Slovak Telekom, will pay Sk2 billion (€59.7 million) in dividends.
Company shareholders approved the distribution of the accumulated profit on April 24.
Deutsche Telekom AG, which controls 51 percent of Slovak Telekom, will get Sk1.02 billion (€30.45 million) in dividends, while the Slovak Ministry of Transport, Postal Services and Telecommunication, which controls 34 percent, will get Sk680 million (€20.3 million). The FNM government privatization agency, with a 15 percent stake, will get Sk300 million (€9 million) in dividends.
In 2006, the firm made a pre-tax profit of Sk691.4 million (€20.6 million) while its profit after taxes was Sk508.9 million (€15.2 million).
