THE BRATISLAVA Regional Court has overturned two verdicts of the Slovak Antitrust Bureau (PMÚ), which issued a fine of Sk80-million (€2.4 million) to the dominant fixed-line operator Slovak Telekom in 2005.
The operator allegedly abused its dominant position on the market by introducing an inappropriate pricing policy when it was working on an integrated communications platform for Ľudová Banka, from June to September 2004.
The court ruled that the PMÚ did not act in full compliance with the law and its verdicts cannot be considered legal, due to the lack of evidence and the impossibility of establishing proof.
