Slovaks avoid buying drugs online

PEOPLE in Slovakia do not seem very interested in buying non-prescription drugs online, preferring brick-and-mortar outlets. This was one finding from a survey conducted among a sample of 2,000 respondents from Slovakia and the Czech Republic by polling agency GfK, the SITA newswire reported in early October.

While online drug sales account for 3 percent of the market in Slovakia, in the Czech Republic the figure is 5 percent. Instead, people use the internet, along with supermarkets and drugstores, to shop for nutritional supplements and slimming pills.
