Slovaks on tour take mobile pictures

ROUGHLY 21 percent of Slovaks used mobile phones to photograph their summer holidays this year. Last year it was 19 percent. This was one result of an online survey that polling agency NMS Market Research conducted on a sample of 1,200 respondents in cooperation with the price-comparison website Heureka.sk.

“The popularity of taking pictures by mobile is increasing, something caused especially by smart phones Michal Osuský, director of NMS Market Research, wrote in a press release on September 6. “The share of Slovaks photographing their summer adventures only by a digital camera is decreasing. Currently it accounts for about 67 percent.”

Based on the survey, 8 percent of summer holidaymakers also take a video camera with them, and 2 percent of respondents still use film cameras.
