PEOPLE in Slovakia enjoy the world’s fastest internet browsing experience, according to data from Google which show that it takes about three seconds on average in Slovakia for a website to be displayed on the monitor, the shortest time globally, the Sme daily reported.
The speed of internet surfing is thus faster than that in Switzerland or Denmark, where it takes about one second longer for a website to appear on the screen.
The average Slovak speed of 3.3 seconds applies to both local and foreign websites.
There is, however, no single explanation for the high speed, according to the daily. Generally, the speed of web browsing depends on the speed of the user’s internet connection, their computer, the size of the website and the users’ browsing habits.
