SLOVAK bank customers expect to receive some form of financial reward for making payments with cards, according to a poll conducted for Prima Banka by the 2muse agency in summer.
As many as 92 percent of customers would consider making more frequent payments with a card if their bank were to return a percentage of the amount paid. For bank clients, 44 percent of those polled said they would prefer to receive financial rewards for card payments.
Most Slovaks now prefer to use a card for bigger purchases but 46 percent of respondents also use their cards for transactions costing up to €7. But the smallest amount most Slovaks are willing to pay in a cashless transaction is €23, on average, the SITA newswire reported based on the poll.
Among the Slovaks surveyed, 28 percent want rebates for goods and services purchased and 24 percent want some kind of financial reward. Collecting points to gain some kind of reward is also popular. Some customers prefer to receive a valuable gift if they pledge to use a particular card for a long period of time.
