Slovnaft posts net profit of Sk6.4 billion in 2006

Bratislava-based crude oil refiner Slovnaft earned a taxed profit of nearly Sk6.4 billion (€194 million) in 2006 when calculated according to international financial reporting standards.

Slovnaft's profit shrank by 31 percent compared to 2005. Shareholders will divide the profit at a general assembly on April 20. Slovnaft's majority shareholder is the Hungarian MOL group, which controls 98.4 percent of the company. Other legal entities hold 0.3 percent, and 1.3 percent of its shares is held by individual shareholders.
