SLOVAKIA's largest bank, Slovenská sporiteľňa (SLSP), posted a record net profit of Sk3.2 billion (€86 million) for 2004, according to International Finance Reporting Standards. The figure represents a 19 percent increase year-on-year, the TAcy wrote.
The operational profit plunged 20 percent to Sk4.8 billion (€130 million) in 2004, while the bank's total assets increased by 14 percent on the year, reaching Sk237.4bn (€6.22 billion).
The volume of loans provided to clients went up by 14 percent last year to Sk62.6bn (€1.64 billion).
