LADISLAV Gažo, a co-founder of software company Seges, has won the title 2008 Start-Up Entrepreneur of the Year. He accepted the award at a ceremony in Bratislava on February 25 attended by the Slovak President, Ivan Gašparovič, and Stan Jakubek, Country Managing Partner of Ernst & Young. The title Start-Up Entrepreneur of the Year is designed to recognise entrepreneurs who have been in business for less than five years, Veronika Králová, Head of Marketing & Business Development at Ernst & Young told The Slovak Spectator.
Seges supplies comprehensive tailored software systems and provides internet solutions and desktop applications.
“We have never had easy objectives,” said Gažo. “Exploring our solutions, one may see high-quality work and professional competence. Thanks to our skills, the business processes of customers are optimised. The application of modern technologies and experience in favour of final solutions has guaranteed that we are attractive to customers and that we satisfy their needs. I am tremendously honoured to receive this award and believe that it will inspire our team to improve on our work even more.”
Peter Zálešák, director general and chairman of the board of directors of the household appliances retail chain NAY, became the 2008 Entrepreneur of the Year for the Slovak Republic and Ján Lunter, co-founder of Innovatrics, was named the 2008 Innovative Entrepreneur of the Year.
