State budget at 3.45bn Sk in the red for 1997

The government budget recorded a deficit of 3.451 billion Sk at the end of the first quarter of 1997 (3.5 billion Sk for the same period of 1996). Budget revenues were 39.923 billion Sk and expenditures were 43.374 billion Sk, the Ministry of Finance reported. The budget ran a surplus of 3.573 billion Sk in January and showed a deficit of 0.361 billion Sk at the end of February.
