Tax revenues higher than expected

TAX and customs authorities in Slovakia collected Sk176.5 billion (€4.42 billion) in the first ten months of 2004, exceeding expected tax revenue by 5.92 percent (Sk9.9 billion / €250 million), the SITA news agency reported.

The sum represents 88.26 percent of expected annual taxes.

Tax revenues made up Sk171.8 billion (€4.31 billion) of the total sum. They were Sk9.1 billion (€230 million) higher than expected.

Non-tax revenues of Sk4.7 billion (€120 million) were Sk791 million (€19.8 million) more than expected, the tax authority announced.
