Small companies, the self-employed, employees and people working under a temporary employment agreement known as “na dohodu” will all pay less on taxes as of next year.
This will be possible thanks to two amendments to the law on income tax approved by the parliament. Submitted by the junior coalition parties comprising the Slovak National Party (SNS) and Most-Híd, they propose changing the non-taxed part of the tax base and the income tax paid by small companies and the self-employed.

They still require the signature of President Zuzana Čaputová. If she signs, the amendments will come into force in January 2020.
This does not mean that the self-employed and companies will already pay less in March 2020. They will see the effect only in 2021. Employees will feel the impact sooner.
