Too small, Austrian firm told

THE AUSTRIAN firm EVN has sent a letter of complaint to Privatisation Minister Mária Machová alleging that it was ruled out of a tender for Slovak energy distributor ZSE because it was "too small", even though it claims to have offered 21 million euros more for a 49 per cent stake in the firm than the German E.ON.

The latter has been recommended to the government by the tender commission as the winner.
