SLOVAKIA's trade deficit for October was Sk1.998 billion (€51.23 million), down from the Sk3.1 billion (€80 million) posted for September, the Statistical Office reported December 10. The deficit for the first ten months to October amounted to 26.1 billion (€650 million).
Exports for the same period stood at Sk742 billion (€18.58 billion), up by 12.8 percent on the year. Imports totalled Sk768 billion (€19.23 billion), a rise of 13.6 percent year-on-year.
