US STEEL Košice will submit within 90 days an offer for bankrupt Yugoslav steel firm Sartid and six of its subsidiaries, the Slovak firm said. US Steel has been active in Sartid since March this year.
Sartid employs 6,500 people directly and another 4,000 in 26 subsidiaries. Its debts total $1.7 billion.
