VÚB Kupón posts 115.3m Sk loss

The largest Slovak investment fund, VÚB Kupón Inc., Bratislava, posted a loss of 115.3 million Sk for the first three months of this year, an improvement from the same period of 1996, when the fund recorded a loss of 361.8 million Sk. Its financial revenue also grew from 1.820 billion Sk in the first quarter of 1996 to 3.231 billion Sk this year. The value of assets per share grew from 1,037 Sk to 1,281 Sk and the total debts-to-assets ratio declined from 4.43 percent to 2.94 percent.
