A SURVEY by the Pravda paper of the five largest domestic suppliers of automaker VW Slovakia found that four of them would be able to supply parts for a new Peugeot factory.
The suppliers - Delphi Slovensko, Sachs Slovakia, Tower Automotive, and Johnson Controls - together employ 4,300 people and produce cables, clutches, and seats for VW's two Slovak plants.
Their apparent ability to supply PSA Peugeot Citroen as well was one of the major factors behind the French carmaker's decision to locate a 700 million euro factory in west Slovakia's Trnava, according to Ján Pribula, the Slovak government's special appointee for the car industry.
