VW to cut size of new body shop

BRATISLAVA-based automotive company Volkswagen will reduce the area originally allocated for the construction of its new hall for car bodies. The representatives of the company say that they accepted the requests of the inhabitants who are to be affected by the construction, the Hospodárske Noviny daily reported.

Originally, the new hall, worth €600 million and due to provide jobs for 550 people, was to have covered 160,000 square metres. The revised plan will occupy 120,000 square metres.
