Whirlpool buys out Slovak partner

Whirpool Europa has become the sole owner of the joint venture Whirlpool Tatramat, a washing machines producer located in Poprad. The company consolidated its 100 percent ownership in its joint venture with its Slovak partner Tatramat when it bought the remaining 28 percent of shares from the Slovak firm in October. With the purchase, the companyßs name was changed to Whirlpool Slovakia, Inc., with its headquarters in Bratislava.
