Low-cost airline Wizz Air will establish a new route from Bratislava to Kiev, Ukraine as of December 17. There will be two flights a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
The sale of tickets has already been launched on the airline’s website.
It is not the first low-cost flight the airline has launched from Bratislava. Besides Kiev, it operates flights to Skopje (Macedonia) and Tuzla (Bosnia and Herzegovina).
“In less than a year we have already announced and will start three low fare connections from the Slovakian capital,” said Tamara Vallois, Wizz Air’s head of communications, as quoted in the press release. “We hope that our Kiev route will be welcomed by both business and leisure travellers.”
The company hopes that the new low fare link with Ukraine will help stimulate business and hospitality sectors in Slovakia by attracting more visitors to Bratislava, Vallois added.
