According to Dušan Greger, mayor of Žarnovica, this will be the biggest aluminium factory producing pipes in Central Europe. The investment is worth Sk100 million (€2.7 million).

Test runs should start this year, and annual production should eventually reach 240 million ready-to-use pipes, the TASR news agency wrote.

Tubex Slovakia will employ 167 people.
