MICHALOVCE-based clothing company Zekon, one of the biggest producers of work overalls and uniforms in Slovakia, plans total revenues for this year at Sk512.9 million (€12.59 million).
This would be a decrease from last year, when the sales were Sk546.5 million (€13.42 million).
"Sales will go down due to our decreased production and fewer employees," said the company's economic-trade director, Michal Kandala.
In 2003, Zekon's output stood at Sk541.4 million (€13.29 million). At the end of January, the company had 955 employees. Its average monthly wage should rise by 5 percent to Sk9,150 (€225).
The company invested Sk13.6 million (€334,000) in a new factory line to launch the production of men's suits at the beginning of this year.
