The members of the European Parliament Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) will vote on the proposed euro adoption in Slovakia as of January 1, 2009, on June 3.

MEP Vladimír Manka (SMER-Social Democracy) told the SITA newswire that the committee could submit its amending proposals to the debated report by May 26. These will then be discussed on June 2. Manka expects a positive outcome of the vote. SITA
