Slovakia scores a much-needed victory against France

After the match against France, Slovakia's quarterfinal chances are still alive.

The Slovak national hockey team won all three points in their fifth match of the 2019 IIHF World Championships against France. The match ended with the result 3:6.

Slovakia's much-needed victory means that, in theory, the national team still has a chance to succeed to the quarterfinal.

Richard Panik scored the first goal of the match. Organisers awarded him the title of the best player of the match for team Slovakia.
