Zapikan Gorge is located in the Slanské Mountains in eastern Slovakia, near Vranov nad Topľou. The Komorský Stream flows through the gorge, the TASR newswire reported.

The legend says that at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, a bandit used to hide in the gorge from police officers. In the local dialect, the word "zapikan" means "bandit".
