In Slovakia, PM Robert Fico would prefer to immediately copy and paste the kind of media landscape that Hungarian PM Viktor Orbán has been creating for many years. The Hungarian prime minister has not spoken to the critical media for a long time, and journalists do not have a chance to ask him questions because they cannot get close to him.
If Orbán holds a press conference, he strictly chooses who can attend it and ask a question; exclusively without the possibility of asking a follow-up question.
Orbán conducts his monologues on state radio or receives servile questions on live television. His propagandists make sure that the affiliated media really only write about the activities of his government. The assets owned by Orbán's family are considered his inviolable privacy.
