Nature
Hike to Kamzík
Since the weather is colder we suggest some shorter hikes, like going to Kamzík.
For many people, this is a highly popular leisure location. The 200-metre-tall Kamzík TV tower, the area's most prominent landmark, is located near to Bratislava and on top of a hill. It provides an amazing panoramic view of the surroundings. Local buffets also provide hot or cold beverages and snacks.
You can start your trip from Pekná cesta in Rača and go to Kamzík. After about an hour and a half of walking, you should reach your destination. You can grab a hot drink and continue to Železna studnička and Patrónka bus stop.
The route is about 8,5 km and should take 2-3 hours of walking, plus resting time.
If you would like to go on the hike, see the map below.
Ice skating
Public ice skating
December 2-3, from 14:15 to 16:30 at Tipos Arena
During the wintertime, you can continue to enjoy some sports - come and skate at the ice-hockey stadium. Grab your ice skates and go to Tipos Arena, where their ice rink is open to the public this weekend, for skaters young and old. Here's this week's schedule.
At the stadium, it is possible to rent skates for a fee.
Christmas
Take a Christmas tram
December 6 to January 6, every half hour on weekends from 12:00 to 20:00, on weekdays from 16:00 to 20:00; from Jesenského stop.
The atmosphere of the Christmas and New Year period in Bratislava is traditionally complemented by a special illuminated Christmas tram. It will run on its own line.
Board the Christmas tram at the stop on Jesenského Street, next to the historical SND building. The tram stops on the route are decorated thematically. It operates on the route Jesenského – Námestie SNP – Kapucínska – tunnel – embankment – Jesenského.
