Start at the observation tower, and its end at the ruins of the Pauliner monastery. The second zipline in the Košice Region promises half a kilometre of adrenaline riding in the air.
The €300,000 zipline can be found in the Gombasek area near the Gombasecká Cave, southern Slovakia. Adrenaline junkies will fly over the camping area, the Korzár website writes.
The official operation of the zipline, which was supposed to open nearly a year ago and was supposed to be longer, starts in May. It will run daily, except Monday.
The zipline is 500 metres long, one of the longest in Slovakia.
"The rope goes between the trees, so visitors go through the crowns of the trees," Gábor Nászaly from the Pre Rozvoj Gombaseku civic association said.
The land of ziplines
The first zipline co-financed by the Košice Region was created above a lake in the travertine Beňatina quarry. It is 180 metres long, situated at a height of 35 metres. The zipline opened in August 2022.
A third zipline could be built by the Zemplínska Šírava water reservoir in the Vinné village. It will be part of a look-out tower.
