World-renowned American glass artist Dale Chihuly exhibits 12 works, created between 1992 and 2000. Chihuly, whose grandfather was from the Prešov area, has work in more than 185 museums world-wide. Rusyn concert in Piešťany

A professional folklore ensemble from eastern Slovakia's Prešov performs traditional song and dance from Rusyn and Ukrainian minorities living in Slovakia. On the Paths of My Country begins at 19:30 November 27 at Congress Hall on Kúpeľný ostrov (Spa Island) in Piešťany, one hour's drive from Bratislava. Tel: 033-775 2150.

Austrian Embassy music festival and exhibition

Composition students at VŠMU (University of Fine Arts) Bratislava will premiere work influenced by expressionist composers at the Student Festival of Contemporary Music Orfeus 2001. The festival opens November 26 with a concert devoted to the 50th anniversary of Arnold Schonberg's death, continues November 27 with work influenced by Alban Berg and closes November 30 with tributes to Anton Webern. An exhibition of paintings by Austrian ambassador to Slovakia Gabriele Matzner-Holzer will open 18:00 November 28. In Servus Slowake, Matzner-Holtzer says goodbye to Slovakia.
