THE NESCAFÉ Wilsonic Music Festival of electronic music, which takes place in the capital for the third time, will start at 20:00 on Friday, October 31. The event's headliner, British jazz-influenced electronic artist Squarepusher, aka Tom Jenkinson (pictured), will perform at 23:00. Altogether, the festival will feature more than 15 musicians playing electronic music, such as German artists Rainer Trüby and Fauna Flash, Swiss star Luciano, Canada's Algorithm, and Safety Scissors from San Francisco. The event will run at the Concert Hall of the Culture and Leisure Park (PKO) on the Danube embankment, Nábrežie Ludvíka Svobodu 3. CENTRAL SLOVAKIA

THE ALEA ensemble, from the northern Slovak town of Dolný Kubín, will hold a concert to celebrate the 45th year of the founding of the local elementary art school. The Alea quartet was established in 2001 with the aim of performing works composed by Argentinean Astor Piazzolla in the instrumental configuration the composer most favoured. Boris Lenko plays accordion, Daniel Buranovský piano, Stanislav Palúch violin, and Ján Krigovský double bass. The concert starts at 18:00 on October 28, at the Large Exhibition of the Župný dom of the Orava Gallery in Dolný Kubín. Admission is free.
