BRATISLAVA

EUROPARTY, which bears the motto With a Voice to Europe, takes place at the National Tennis Centre on April 28 and 29 in celebration of Slovakia's entry to the EU. On the first day of the party, German techno band Scooter will hit the stage at 19:00. The next day at the same time, Chico and the Gypsies will perform. The band's founder, Chico, is a former member of the legendary Gipsy Kings. The other guests of the event, the Slovak bands Flamenco and Devil's Violin, will both perform before the party begins and after it ends. The National Tennis Centre is located at Príkopova 6. CENTRAL SLOVAKIA

THE 14TH annual May Cultural Festival will take place on April 30 and May 1 in the western Slovak city of Partizánske. The country band Dukát from Topoľčany will start the programme at 17:30 on Friday, at SNP Square. Folk ensemble Jánošík will perform afterwards, followed by the popular band Senzus. A mega dance party will start at 22:00 with a performance by the Modance dance group. The next day, May 1, the events start at 9:00 with a concert by the brass band Hradišťanka. An hour later, political parties and the city's representatives will welcome the citizens. Folk ensemble Marína from Zvolen closes the programme with a performance that starts at 10:30.
