AN EXHIBITION of design posters, EUROPE 2020, currently running at the Slovak National Museum, points to the diverse and shared viewpoints of European artists on their joined future. The display is a selection of the 40 best posters from the pan-European competition that took place in Croatia in 2002. Over 80 designers from 23 countries competed with more than 140 posters. The exhibition runs at the Museum café, situated at the rear of the National Museum at Vajanského nábrežie 2. It is open daily from 9:00 to 21:00 until May 26. Admission is free. WESTERN SLOVAKIA

EXHIBITION: Milan Rastislav Štefánik Memorials - Photographs documenting the memorials that commemorate the significant Slovak politician and cofounder of Czechoslovakia are displayed on the 85th anniversary of his death.

THE BANSKÁ Bystrica State Opera's repertoire includes one of the most successful works by Czech composer Antonín Dvořák, the lyric fairy tale Rusalka. The fourth production of this opera on the Banská Bystrica stage tells the story in a new, modern way, transforming the undersea world of fairies into a new artistic environment: the studio of Viennese art nouveau painter Gustav Klimt.
