CONCERT: Cigánski Diabli / Gipsy Devils – Cigánski Diabli, a group established in 1991, have been accepted as a world/ethno music orchestra playing a mix of Roma, classical and folk music in a typical fusion. MODERN DANCE: Me-Sa, Andrej Petrovič: L/One Of The Seven – The one-woman performance of modern dance represents the first in a series that tries to embody the seven deadly sins. L stands for Lust, for desire, passion, fornication. Choreographer Andrej Petrovič (international works, ex-Akram Khan Company) and dancer Martina Hajdyla Lacová, founder of ME-SA and Dancer of the Year 2015 from Prague try to physically express the concept of sins and sinners. CLASSICAL MUSIC: Allegretto Žilina – The opening concert of the 27th year of the festival of the classical music, Allegretto Žilina, will bring the host, the Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina, conducted by Briton Kerem Hasan, with Hungarian Timea Acsai on flute and Russian Alexey Stadler on cello playing Mozart’s Overture to the opera La Clemenza di Tito, Concert for Flute and Orchestra in G Major, Joseph Haydn’s Concert for Cello and Orchestra No 1 in C Major, and Zoltan Kodály’s Dances from Galant. EXHIBITION: Staré / Nové – Old / New – The exhibition co-organised by the Gallery of Spiš Artists and the House of Photography, and curated by Lucia Benická shows old photographic techniques and processes used in a modern, experimental way. HISTORICAL TRAIN RIDE: With a Train to UNESCO-Gothic Spiš – The popular rides on an historical train with an historical engine is enhanced with new destinations: the April 2 ride will take passengers to several UNESCO sites in the Spiš Region – Spiš Castle, the village of Spišské Podhradie, the Spiš Chapter (Spišská Kapitula) and the Church of the Holy Spirit in nearby Žehra. Natural sites include reservation, Dreveník and the mineral spring, Sivá Brada. The day includes a return train ride, a tourist guide, a mobile app of the Košice Region and a digital guide of the whole region. There are four routes, from 2 to 7 hours long. MODERN DANCE: Lupe – Lupe is a poly-duet which reflects the collaboration of artists/choreographers René Alejandro Huari Mateusa (CO/ DE) and Zuzana Žabková (SK/DE) with performers, exploring the limits of contemporary choreography, relations between audiences and performers, and stereotypes-hierarchies implying this relation. CLASSICAL MUSIC: Easter Concert – The State Slovak Philharmonic Košice conducted by Marek Štryncl, with soloists – Lucia Knoteková, soprano, Petra Noskaiová, alto and the Vokálny súbor Gregoriana choir (led by Marek Klein) will perform Suita D Major, Op. 14 by local composer Jozef Podprocký, Temple Windows by Neo-Classicist Ottorino Respighi and Stabat Mater by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi. CONCERT: Úlfur Úlfur (ICE) – The concert by the Icelandic band Úlfur Úlfur (established in 2010) shows how they break the border, mix rap with humour, and enjoy music and life. Its members Arnar and Helgi (Úlfur Úlfur) are technically good rappers and philosophically good lyric writers, albeit in their mother tongue. This concert is the last in the series “Crossing the Borders – Culture, Way of Mutual Understanding”, supported from EEA Grants and the Slovak state budget. High Tatras/Veľká Lomnica

SPORT: Ski & Golf Slovakia – The 8th combined competition takes place in the High Tatras, with five winners proceeding to the Austrian world finals in Zell am See – Kaprun. Registration possible until March 31. On April 8, the skiing and the first round of golf takes place, while on the next day, the second round of the golf tournament begins.
