BALLET:Art for Life / Umenie pre život, the ballet gala that presents renowned soloists from Slovakia and abroad, will also raise money for the National Oncologic Institute and draw attention to prevention and treatment of cancer. The ballet evening takes place on November 5 at 19:00 in the historical building of the Slovak National Theatre (SND) in Hviezdoslavovo Square 1 in Bratislava. JAZZ: Avishai Cohen - Israeli jazz electric bass and double bass player, singer and composer (called “the by far most successful Israeli jazz export” by The Jerusalem Post) will play in Bratislava during the One Day Jazz Festival event. CONCERT:An unusual connection will be offered at a special concert of the State Philharmonic Košice (ŠfK) on November 5 at 19:00. The local musical body will join forces with rock musician Andrej Šeban and his band (see photo). In the first part, Šeban will play solo, while in the second part they will perform together the piece Skanzen for Andrej Šeban Band and orchestra, ŠfK conducted by Anton Popovič.
