Slovak mathematician among the world’s most cited researchers

Slovak mathematician Michal Fečkan, who works at Comenius University in Bratislava, is the only Slovak to appear on the Highly Cited Researchers ranking for 2019, as reported by the SITA newswire.

Fečkan ranked among the most cited scientists in his field in the world. The list includes 6,217 high-ranking researchers from almost 60 countries.

Clarivate Analytics of the Web of Science Group compiled the ranking.

Fečkan specialises in non-linear functional analysis, dynamic systems, and their applications. Of particular importance is his contribution to the analysis of solutions of equations with fractional derivatives.
