A GROUP of 30 people are being investigated, half of them in pre-trial custody, by the Banská Bystrica region serious crimes office for involvement in a fraud ring that murdered some of its foes and dissolved their remains in acid.
Police say that 15 of those not in custody are missing, and suspect they may have fallen victim to their accomplices in crime.
The ring was first busted earlier this year after a complicated fraud scheme involving false software purchase contracts and tax rebates from the state.
