“Because of the sensitivity of these issues, we cannot inform about the details of our adopted measures,” airport spokesperson Dana Madunická, told the SITA newswire.

Security authorities in Slovakia are more carefully monitoring potential threats in the country following a recent alert from the United States about suspected terrorist attacks, said spokespersons from Slovakia’s Interior and Foreign Affairs Ministries.

The US State Department issued a travel warning on Sunday to American citizens who are visiting or living in Europe. It advised more caution because of credible information that terrorist attacks were planned within Europe.
