The disputed case of Hedviga M., a Slovak-Hungarian student who claimed to have been attacked by skinheads at the end of August 2006 for speaking in Hungarian, will return to the courts but this time with Hedviga in the dock.
Police investigators have charged Hedviga with perjury, saying the results of their investigations show that she made the whole thing up. If found guilty, she could end up behind bars for one to five years. The perjury charges were filed by an anonymous citizen.
