The growth rate of Slovakia's economy in the third quarter of this year has probably continued to slow.
According to analysts, real year-on-year economic growth, after being 8.5 percent in the first quarter and 7.6 percent in the second quarter, will be about seven percent in the third. The most pessimistic estimates of analysts dip beneath six percent, the SITA newswire wrote. However, according to more optimistic estimates, GDP growth might exceed the seven-percent level by several basis points.
VÚB Banka analyst Martin Lenko expects a moderate increase in the growth of household spending, but overall growth should be balanced by both foreign and local demand. The Statistics Office will release its first flash estimate of GDP growth in the third quarter on Friday, November 14. SITA
