Anti-terrorist forces seize Slovaks at Heathrow Airport

Anti-terrorist units on Wednesday, May 1 arrested a group of Slovaks at London Heathrow Airport when an object similar to a detonator was discovered among the possessions of one of the group during a security check, the TASR newswire, quoting the TVnoviny.sk news website.

The alarm was raised at the airport. "Eight Slovaks and two Czechs were immediately isolated from the rest of the passengers by security forces. They underwent interrogation lasting around seven hours," stated the site, adding that one Slovak man was not able to explain how the object had got into his pocket. He and his wife are still being detained in London, although the rest of the group were released. The group, which was heading from Vienna Schwechat Airport to Las Vegas in the USA, was changing flights in London.
