Slovakia's preparation to enter Nato and EU structures also demands the unification of army commands. Soldiers in the Slovak army will in the future perform the command "at ease" in the American way.
The army adopted a new Armed Force Exercise Code November 1. The code changed the former "at ease" position - relaxed arms along the body with one leg bent - into arms crossed behind one's back with legs astride.
